Galette des Rois

Hi everyone,

Last Sunday was the twelfth-day after Christmas. French tradition mode ON, I had to bake an epiphany cake even if it was a ridiculously small one and that I forgot the charm that Mum gave me in France (farewell Hermione Granger!).

The major challenge was to find a puff pastry. Jesus Chrischt ! I think I've spent 30min walking all over Tesco to find it. Finally got one in the frozen area. Another thing. In Ireland, the puff pastry doesn't seem to be round but rectangular. Strange, I know. Don't forget, it's Ireland ;)

Ground almond, butter, sugar and egg for the frangipani. Easy enough to be done in few minutes. 35min in the oven and it's ready to be savoured !

  1. You had then forgotten what I had told you when I was in England ;) - I had mentionned already that the puff pastry came in rectangle shape! Ah well, it does not change the taste, does it? :D

  2. Doesn't change anything for sure, and totally forgot that you mentioned that ! It's just different when you don't except that :)
