Malahide

Along the East coast, you can enjoy the view of the sea in several lovely cities.
Let me introduce you to Malahide, 30 min with the DART from Connelly Station, Dublin.

The East coast is different from the West one, but it's gorgeous with a wee bit of sun !

the Harbor side

Fantastic view isn't it?

I am just mad about that kind of colours

Malahide Castle is also one of the main attraction of the town

I had the chance to go up there with a friend visiting from France, we had a lovely time.
If you can, you definitely have to go to Malahide :)

I'm back bitches !

It's been ages that I haven't posted anything, I am terribly sorry.

I'll show you some wonderful Irish places that I was lucky enough to visit on my own or with friends !

Just so you know what I'm up to at the moment:

- I am looking for a job in Ireland, to stay next year. Yay! Because Ireland took my heart and I've decided to let it do it <3.

- I have watched Breaking Bad (title ref.) and I am waiting for the last 8 episodes, that will be released in August, like a child waiting for the present at Christmas Eve.

- I passed all my exams. Big Up! First time that I pass every module without compensation (French system) in 4 years of Third Level Education. Boom!

- I finally succeed in finding my art craft shop and I now have fabric paint to create loads of nice stuff :)

And so many things...

Let's see what I have for you now ;)

Le Galaxie

Two gigs in less than a month.
"Is that okay doc?"

Their gigs are amazing. Brilliant tunes and awesome guys in live ! Full of energy.
Le Galaxie is an Irish band playing some electro-digital music. Savage. That's the perfect adjective for them.

Dec.22nd
Jan.12th
March.17th ??

Their final is the theme of Jurassic Park. Good crack !

At last..

I've been wondering for the last few days when we would have some snow as I know that in France, there's snow everywhere *jealous*.
Yesterday morning, my housemate told me that he had a surprise for me. Reaching the kitchen eyes closed, I've discovered a little bit of snow! Yurray !
We finally had some !

Okay, few hours later, it was gone, but still.
I hope we will have more soon.

Galette des Rois

Hi everyone,

Last Sunday was the twelfth-day after Christmas. French tradition mode ON, I had to bake an epiphany cake even if it was a ridiculously small one and that I forgot the charm that Mum gave me in France (farewell Hermione Granger!).

The major challenge was to find a puff pastry. Jesus Chrischt ! I think I've spent 30min walking all over Tesco to find it. Finally got one in the frozen area. Another thing. In Ireland, the puff pastry doesn't seem to be round but rectangular. Strange, I know. Don't forget, it's Ireland ;)

Ground almond, butter, sugar and egg for the frangipani. Easy enough to be done in few minutes. 35min in the oven and it's ready to be savoured !

The Advent

My dear friends,

Here we are, 23 days until Christmas, and  also, 21 days until I'll go back to France for holidays with the family !

But before that, I wanted to feel that "Christmas atmosphere" at home.
So as Colm has disappeared for two weeks (I just saw him yesterday for 15min), I cannot ask him for a Christmas tree.
The only solution was to make my own Christmas tree. And I did.

I've also received earlier in the week a packet from my German sister with a little present for each sunday of the Advent. Isn't really sweet of her ?
I went to mass on Saturday night, so technically I had the right to open the first present.. And I did =D !
The first one is a lovely little crib. What a good way to start that wonderful time !

Time flies so fast.. It's amazing !

The crib with the advent candle (I was out this afternoon and my housemate just forgot to watch it = burnt up to the 4th !!)

Time spent: 4 hours

Loads of sheet of paper, colour pencils, scissors (...)
Creativity: highest rate !

Laragh Co. Wicklow

An Irish breakfast: bacon, pudding, sausages, tomato, mushrooms, egg and potatoes. YUMMY !
